Rowella is the Franchise’s All-Time Points & Goals Leader.

Norwalk, Connecticut – The Connecticut RoughRiders of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) team captain and forward Alex Rowella 97’, from Ridgefield CT, has committed to NCAA III's Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, members of the UCHC (United Collegiate Hockey Conference) for the Fall of 2018.

In his third season with the CT RoughRiders in the EHL, Alex had a terrific season with 26 goals, 36 assists for 62 points in 46 games this year. He becomes the Franchise’s All-Time Points & Goals Leader with 48 goals, 67 assists for 115 points in 126 games.

“Alex possessed great hockey vision and creativity and was potent on the power play and penalty kill. He recognized scoring chances and was quick to act on those opportunities. He was that all-around forward that players hated to play against due to his skill level and the effectiveness of his agitation.” Head Coach Eric Lind said. "A true leader on and off the ice, Alex was our team captain this past season and his professionalism and leadership skills will transition perfectly to the colligate locker room at Manhattanville next year.”

Rowella will join former EHL CT RoughRider’s Oscar Arlfelt, Keegan Davis and Mac Vail at Manhattanville next season.

We wish him the best of luck next season with the Manhattanville College Valiants. Congratulations to Alex his family!
